Legacy is a seven piece New England based band sure to put Providence back on the map as an area of multi-talented seasoned professionals in the music business.  The band works out of a studio in Providence Rhode Island about 40 mile south of Boston where they perfect their craft with full production. More than musicians, they are a band of entertainers marketed as a High Energy show band. They are able to cover a wide range hits within their repertoire due to their vocal strength, harmony and seasoned instrumentalist. The Charisma of lead vocalist David “Mr. “Dynamite” Cherry , who has been recognized as one of the nation’s leading James Brown Impersonators and lead vocalist Joe Benton formerly of The  Benton Brothers, Gospel Extraordinaire and R&B Crooner  Michael Vanover are sure to get you party started up in full swing. Legacy’s Rhythm Section is made up of Musical Director and Veteran guitarist Philip Pegg, Jazz Pianist, Joe Godfrey of The R.I.Philamonic on Keyboards and Renowned Bassist Matt Passeroni.Whether performing at a Concert, Nightclub or Corporate Event this band of maestros own the stage with showmanship, choreography and professionalism rarely experienced in today’s acts .This is due to Legacy having deep roots in R&B and that Old School Philosophy where when you hit the stage its “ShowTime”.  Although   Legacy’s strong roots In Funk and Soul are evident, They do not want to target just one generation .One of the bands mission is to gain recognition with a wide audience and have people of all ages to experience what their music has to offer”. The band covers Current Top 40 Dance hits, Contemporary R & B, Classic Old School R & B, Neo Soul, Modern Soul and Quiet Storm (Those Baby making ballads.) We are talking Bruno Mars to Bootsy Collins.   The Dramatics to The Weekend and everything in between as we look forward to releasing 3 singles  in the spring  followed by a vinyl and cd in the summer as well as a  Christmas album all in 2018​
